2-1-2012New Historic Districts - Planning Commission Hearing 2/02/12
On February 2, the Planning Commission will act on updating and revising Articles 10 and 11 of the Planning Code. Articles 10 and 11 of the Planning Code govern how historic preservation is regulated in San Francisco. The passage of Proposition J in 2008 necessitates that San Francisco update its Planning Code.

San Francisco, CA – November 28, 2011 – Last spring, Oliver Burgelman, Realtor with Zephyr Real Estate, developed a new market-tracking website tool called PriceSquares.com. The site originally covered properties in San Francisco, but the demand for expansion quickly became apparent, particularly for the North Bay. Consequently, the site now includes Marin, Napa, Sonoma, Solano and Mendocino counties. The site also has undergone some visual changes for a cleaner and more user-friendly interface. -
11-20-2011Potrero Center for Sale!
The partnership that owns the Potrero Center at Bryant and 16th Street is looking to sell the property as a potential redevelopment project that could accommodate up to 1,800 apartments. The Emerald Fund, which owns the 227,000 square foot strip shopping center with a group of partners, has listed the property with Eastdil Secured. The property, which is 98 per cent leased, could fetch up to $125 million, which would translate to a 5 percent capitalization rate, according to the industry publication Real Estate Alert. -

San Francisco, CA – November 7, 2011 – For 20 years, Zephyr agent Wes Freas has volunteered at Project Open Hand. In his first decade of service, Freas volunteered to deliver meals. When he joined the Zephyr team 10 years ago, he discovered that Project Open Hand was an ongoing commitment among Zephyr agents, and he subsequently became the Zephyr coordinator. As the coordinator, Freas promotes the program, recruits participants, schedules the teams and ensures that it happens every week. -

San Francisco, CA – October 17, 2011 – Pete Gallegos, Zephyr REALTOR® at the West Portal Office, has found a way to help others through volunteering with the Maisin Scholars Program, which assists students in overcoming financial obstacles in their pursuit of higher education. Founded in 2000, the program offers 75 scholarships annually to students graduating in the San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) who have financial need and the ambition to continue their education.
